​Job Role:
To effectively work within a carpentry construction crew on site.
 

Requirements:
-
Ability to speak, read and write English
-
Ability to understand building plans / prints
-
Access to reliable transportation to our shop located in St.Andrews, MB, or direct
to your job site
-
Ability to stand and work with your hands for long periods of time
-
2+ years of carpentry construction experience is ideal but not required
-
Enrolment or willingness to work through the apprenticeship program
-
Ability to listen and follow instruction from a direct supervisor
-
Comfortable with working in dusty, hot, wet and/or cold temperatures
-
Comfortable working weekends if schedule permits

Valid Class 5 License
Daily Tasks Include:
-
Measure elevations and set backs for carpentry construction activities
-
Operate and maintain all tools of the trade
-
Learn from experienced staff members
-
Assist the construction of all carpentry related elements such as decks, fences, pool
houses, garages and cabanas

Complete interior renovation projects through out the winter months
-
Communicate as needed with clients and address any concerns
-
Track and monitor KPIs within a job to ensure job site profitability
Required Skills:
-
Communications skills required to work with project managers, clients, and fellow staff members

Ability to work as part of a team for extended periods of time
-
Communicate by receiving and providing direction to fellow team members
-
Ability to use hand tools, battery tools, and air tools as they relate to the trade

Read and understand construction drawings
-
Equipment operation skills as required to complete your daily tasks

Use cloud based software to track hours on site appropriately, and document any
deficiencies
Length of Employment:
Appendix A
• Full time
• Option for flexible hours during the winter off season completing interior renovations,
carpentry scopes of work, snow removal or extended vacation.

Expected Hours:

Summer Hours
• Monday to Friday
• Weather and schedule may require some Saturday work. • 10 hours per day -
Winter Hours
• Monday to Friday • 6-8 hours per day
Compensation:
• Starting wage of $22-$30/hr based on experience and skill set
• Paid Overtime
• Year End Bonus
