We are currently looking to hire additional staff to our growing construction and maintenance crews.

Job Role:
To work with a construction or maintenance crew to build and maintain outdoor living spaces.

Requirements:

• Ability to speak, read and write English 

• Access to reliable transportation to our shop located in St.Andrews, MB 

• Ability to stand and work with your hands for long periods of time 

• Ability to listen to and follow instruction from a direct supervisor 

• Comfortable with working in dusty, hot, wet and/or cold temperatures 

• Comfortable working weekends if schedule permits 

• Valid Class 5 License

Daily Tasks Include:

• Operate small engine equipment such as trimmers, lawn mowers, concrete saws, etc. 

• Lift and move heavy materials by hand or by wheel barrel 

• Prune and shape trees/shrubs, weed beds, plant trees and shrubs 

• Maintain lawn areas, pick up garbage, sweep street and walkways 

• Lay paving stone, concrete or concrete materials, dig holes and use wheel barrels 

• Shovel rock, soil and other landscape materials 

• Clean equipment and trailers

Required Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• An excellent work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines / show up on time 

• Work within a cooperative team setting 

• A basic understanding of math

Length of Employment:

April 1st - November 15th ( Weather dependent )

Work is available during winter months but it is not a requirement of this position

Expected Hours:
Monday to Saturday

Weather and schedule may require some Saturday work

10-12 hours per day

Compensation:

• Starting wage of $18-$29/hr based on experience and skill set 

• Paid Overtime
